NYC Technology and Innovation Dinner Series

David Olk

An informal dinner to connect and conspire.

This dinner pulls together a curated group of people who are leading some of NYC's most innovative companies as well as some investors in the space. The conversation for this dinner will focus on what we've all learned during 2015 as it relates to fundraising, wealth generation, and founder specific nuggets of knowledge (i.e., how to ensure you limit capital gains when you sell your shares).

Most of all, this will just generally be a fun couple of hours to meet new people who for some reason allow Olk to drag them to dinner.

Private Equity Investing - What I Learned in 2015

Gavin Myers

I am delighted to invite you to my first Voray, a congenial gathering of private equity investors for whom I have deep respect.

As we wrap up another busy year in our industry and are set to embark on an uncertain 2016, I find it useful to recall the key lessons I have learned over the past 12 months. During our dinner, I would encourage everyone to think about one key lesson they learned in 2015 and be prepared to share it with the group. It does not have to be earth shattering, just something meaningful that you would like to share. The goal is for each of us to leave the dinner with 10 - 15 pieces of wisdom collected from some of the smartest people I know in the industry.

I hope you find the evening both thought provoking as well as a great opportunity to network with like-minded professionals!

Influencers Discuss Fundraising

Dave Kerpen

Dave Kerpen hosts a curated gathering of friends for a fun networking lunch.

This gathering pulls together a curated group who are leading some of NYC's most innovative companies as well as some of NYC's best early stage investors. The general conversation for this lunch will center around a topic that never gets old - fundraising. What works today, how it's changing, and what the future holds with the advent of new technologies. Not to mention, is winter coming? If so, what season are we in?

Should be a good time.

Talk Less, Do More

Beth Haggerty

This is a kick-off of a Voray group of influential executive women in NYC who are committed to take action to achieve gender equality. We believe there has been too much talk without action. Despite years of examination and conversation of gender gap issues, the situation remains largely the same, particularly moreso in the Unites States. This powerful group of women leaders has decided that talk has not worked to effectuate substantial change. This Voray group is committed to taking real action to drive change toward achieving gender parity in our lifetimes.
