Dark and Stormy's or Pina Coladas

New York, NY
Come join a small group of company execs and investors to chat about the NYC market in 2016 and beyond.
Are we the only ones who feel like it's somewhat business as usual in NYC? With the exception of multiples coming down a bit, it seems like private investing fundamentals have not substantially changed -- even at the earliest stages. Good companies are still attracting venture funding or have raised enough to get through a down turn. Early stage businesses that are interesting and growing -- well, they are still interesting and are still growing and getting funded.
On the other hand, if you have visited the West Coast recently, there seems to be a bit of doom and gloom on Sand Hill Road. On a recent trip, it was quite surprising to us just how different the outlook and climate is between the two regions.
So we thought it would be fun to pull together some friends in the NYC innovation space to talk about the history of tech booms and busts – what have we learned from past cycles and what wisdom is best applied in current times. What we are all seeing and what to expect for the rest of the year and beyond -- especially here in New York.
At a minimum, these events are always a good time to connect and conspire over a good dinner with some great people.
Looking forward to it,
Micah & David
